Faithless-insomnia Lyrics

I do not take credit or claim to of this song or any other Faithless product. LYRICS: Deep in the bosom of the gentle night Is when I search for the light Pick up my pen and start to write I struggle, fight dark forces In the clear moon light Without fear… insomnia I can’t get no sleep I used to worry, thought I was goin’ mad in a hurry Gettin’ stress, makin’ excess mess in darkness No electricity, something’s all over me, greasy Insomnia please release me and let me dream of Makin’ mad love to my girl on the heath Tearin’ off tights with my teeth But there’s no release, no peace I toss and turn without cease Like a curse, open my eyes and rise like yeast At least a couple of weeks Since I last slept, kept takin’ sleepers But now I keep myself pepped Deeper still, that night I write by candle light I find insight, fundamental movement, uh So when it’s back this insomniac take an original tack Keep the beast in my nature under ceaseless attack I gets no sleep I can’t get no sleep I can’t get no sleep I can’t get no sleep I need to sleep, although I get no sleep I need to sleep, although I get no sleep

I have been diagnosed with insomnia for a few years now. I was prescribed Ambien and i have been having horrible side effects and i find the medication to be extremely dangerous. I tried Lunesta and it doesn’t work for me. Is there another medication strong like Ambien that i can take to fall asleep at night?

I’ve been suffering from insomnia during pregnancy for a couple months now and I want to know what the easiest way to cure insomnia during pregnancy is. I’ve taken those herbal remedies like Sleep-MD and they don’t seem to be much of a cure for insomnia. So what are my best options for curing insomnia during pregnancy?

  3. JoshW says:

Insomnia during pregnancy is usually caused by discomfort on the growing abdomen and stress from expecting a new baby. You can try several things from home to help you relax your body and mind like: taking a warm bath and lighting up some of your favorite scented candles, listen to relaxing music before bedtime, or even adjusting the room temperature to where you feel most comfortable. As far as removing the discomfort from the abdomen goes, I’d suggest going out and purchasing a pregnancy body pillow. It’s designed to curve with your body and give support so you should feel more comfortable and in return cure your pregnancy insomnia.

I’m fairly sure I have Insomnia as I have all the symptoms. I’m acting on all the bedtime rituals and remedies especially suggested to help cure it so I’m not worried about suffering from it anymore. I’ve heard that Insomnia is a relatively common disorder affecting 1/3 of the population of adults, though I’m merely a teenager. Has anybody else had Insomnia before and if you have your experience and answer would be much appreciated. :) Cheers in adavnce.

First, “worry” is a useless thing to do. You can’t fix anything by worrying about it.

Next, yes, insomnia can be deadly and should be looked at as serious. A person who isn’t sleeping isn’t functioning and can fall asleep driving, or working, and hurt other people.

Bedtime rituals and remedies? Sounds like you’ve been talking to Oprah or Dr. Phil.
Here’s a couple good ideas. No caffeine period. Take all the media equipment out of your bedroom, except an alarm clock, and turn that to the wall so the light doesn’t invade your sleep. Run a quiet fan in the room to circulate the air and act as a noise buffer. Don’t eat within 3 hours of going to bed, and keep the high acid and high fat diet to a minimum. No high energy exercise before bedtime either.
Make certain you have 8 hours or more every night to sleep.

I am going to see a doctor who will give me some medications for my insomnia. What is the most popular prescription for insomnia and inducing sleep?

  7. admin says:

    medical marijuana :)

  8. Bryan says:

Clearly, Michael was overmedicated and perhaps in mutual exhaustion his “physician” finally administered the propofol on top of everything else.

My question is – what do real doctors do to treat someone whose insomnia is unresponsive to medications – is this such a rare circumstance that it’s a rehab situation most of the time?

  9. admin says:

Clearly he had an addiction problem. Once you become that dependent on those types of medications, you need a much larger dose for them to become effective.

I don’t think this is as rare as people think it is. They would send him for a sleep study, find out what his brain is doing when he is trying to sleep, send him off to rehab as drug withdrawal is dangerous. Who knows if he had any other co-morbidity.

Propofol is NEVER given to someone just because they cant sleep. That is just insane. As well as off label usage of medication, it is necessary in some aspects of medicine. Certainly not this particular drug!

I have this report to do for health class. Well, it was supposed to be on a type of disease. When I chose insomnia, I did not know insomnia wasn’t a disease or disorder, but a symptom of different diseases and diorders. I told my teacher and she told me to work it out. Can anyone help?

  11. TweetyBird says:

“How and where did insomnia originate?” — This cannot be answered. Sorry.

Your teacher gave you good advice but you didn’t follow it. Did you run a search for “causes of insomnia”??

I’ve been sleepless for 3 consecutive days. I tried melatonin from GNC but it just made me dizzy but not sleepy at all. I’ve been feeling backpain and dizziness due to sleeplessness. What are some practical solutions to my insomnia? I’ve been an insomniac since I was a teen. Pls. advise.

I’ve had insomnia since I was a teenager too. It’s awful. My story is at http://www.fms-help.com/insomnia.htm. I am now 56. A list of things I’ve tried for sleep is at http://www.fms-help.com/sleep.htm. I hope you will find some help. My doc recently switched my meds around and I’m starting to sleep sounder, although not as long as other people. Check out my homepage too at http://www.fms-help.com. Chronic insomnia can wreck your health and immune system, so it’s important to find a doc who will work with you on it to find a med that works for you, but doesn’t give you too many bad side effects, like next day hangover. Of course, you could always try some OTC sleep meds first. If they work, you won’t need to see doc for something stronger.

I stopped taking Remeron last Thursday (as directed by my psychiatrist), and have been experiencing moderate insomnia. Note that insomnia was never a problem before (on or off Remeron). I tried Valerian but it doesn’t seem to hit the target and I feel wired. Does anyone have experience/suggestions that helped?

Alot of people that have used prescription medications such as this one have suffered this problem at one varied point or another in their life, some even more than others such as possibly your case. However, there are many that do not want to use addictive drugs and that is completely understandable, but I know how to treat insomnia, naturally. For a very economical price you can get a natural melatonin supplement from your local Wal-Mart in the vitamin section which helps your body to produce more natural Serotonin at bed time to enhance sleep. There are zero side effects, other than a good nights sleep, and it is non-habit forming. It is just a great vitamin supplement.

Search the key word “Melatonin” on your Yahoo search engine to confirm what I’m telling you. It naturally provides me a great nights sleep every night after trying for years to sleep at night before I found this dietary supplement. I wake refreshed and full of energy as I am only promoting my body’s own ability to sleep. The best brand comes in a purple bottle from the company “Natrol” and is labeled Melatonin 5mg (1 tablet at night). Again, it is non-narcotic as it is a natural supplement and is found in the vitamin and health section at your local Wal-Mart. It’s the best kept secret for sleep I’ve ever experienced for a great nights sleep every night. By helping the body to produce more Serotonin, which is your body’s “chill out” hormone, the Melatonin lowers stress, eases your mind, and thus promotes restful sleep.

I have had trouble with both getting to sleep and staying asleep for what seems like forever now. I average about 3 hours a night sleep, total not consecutive, and it’s about to drive me insane. Since there are so many different medicines out there for insomnia, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which is best so I can talk with my doctor about it.
